Many attempts have been made in recent years, especially in some Western countries, to present the event of Christ’s resurrection in a new light. Some of these attempts at reinterpretation have caused uneaseness among the Orthodox theologians, who are strongly opposed to any sort of „hermeneutic docetism” in this matter. The author deals first of all with the basic objections put forward by the Orthodox theologians against any interpretation which undermines bodily character of Christ’s resurrection. The influeice of R. Bultmann’s views has not yet been overcome, according to their judgement, in many of the present-day publications. The second part of the article is devoted to the pneumatological interpretation of Christ’s resurrected body. The Pauline concept of the soma pneumatikon (1 Cor. 15, 44) is given, is this respect, a particular attention. Christ’s risen body is a real, true and living body, fully transformed through the Spirit of God. The resurrection is the new and eschatological reality, which does not come from human „flesh and blood”, but from the Holy Spirit and His creative energy. The theology of the resurrection requires just as much pneumatology as the theology of the incarnation or eschatology. The final reflections stress the need for an apophatic approach to the mystery of Christ’s resurrection, which is one of the main features of the entire Eastern tradition.pl_PL
