Znaczenie edukacji religijnej w budowaniu tożsamości chrześcijańskiej

Abstract

Artykuł omawia problem znaczenia edukacji w budowaniu tożsamości chrześcijańskiej. Składa się on z czterech zagadnień szczegółowych, które dotyczą: 1) określenia tożsamości (tożsamość w aspekcie socjologicznym, psychologicznym, religijnym, a także w logice i w filozofii); 2) definicji tożsamości chrześcijańskiej oraz jej wyznaczników; 3) podstaw tożsamości chrześcijanina, którymi są: Biblia i doktryna chrześcijańska; 4) ukazania edukacji religijnej jako fundamentu pod budowanie tożsamości chrześcijańskiej. Tożsamość chrześcijańską nabywa się zasadniczo przez urodzenie w rodzinie chrześcijańskiej. Podlega ona prawom rozwoju, w czasie którego zmieniają się również jej wyznaczniki. Natomiast edukacja religijna jest nie dającą się zastąpić pomocą w znalezieniu właściwych odpowiedzi na pytania dotyczące swojej tożsamości, ponieważ wspiera chrześcijanina w podjęciu głębokiej refleksji obejmującej prawdy: o sakramentach i o swoim życiu sakramentalnym, o znaczeniu modlitwy, a także praktykach i przeżywanych zwyczajach religijnych.

The article discusses the problem of the significance of education in building up Christian identity. It consists of four parts that concern: 1) the definition of identity (identity in the sociological, psychological and religious aspects, as well as in logic and philosophy), 2) the definition of Christian identity and its determinants, 3) the foundations of the identity of a Christian, that is: the Bible and the Christian doctrine, 4) presenting religious education as the foundation of building up Christian identity. Christian identity is basically acquired by being born in a Christian family. It is subjected to the laws of development, during which also its determinants change. On the other hand, religious education constitutes aid in finding proper answers to questions that are concerned with one’s identity; and this aid cannot be substituted by anything, as it supports Christians in their deep reflection on the truths: about sacraments and Christians' sacramental life, about the significance of prayer, and also about practices and about the experienced religious customs.
