Abstrakt

The world of values that man lives in and with which he identifies himself goes to make for him a sort of oasis or home where he feels safe and where he finds the point of his own existence. Service to certain values determines similarly man’s ontological status and makes a human person mature and responsable. Modern man however experiences various threats which disturb his till now assented values and make them disputable. In the above situation man faces the dilema: what to what or to who is he to dedicate? Very easily may he dedicate rightous values and those of great worth to the values of just a small importance and only subjective. He may even say no to the values objectively existing and devote himself to the service to pseudovalues. The author wants to show that the fear of modern man is a result of passing through a crisis of values, especially of the moral ones. That he could in turn get rid of many unrests he should aim at experiencing values in their absolute and categorical sens. The way to it lead's through the experience of Sacrum. A return to Sacrum, a return to religion as a warrant for the respect and service to values is an affirmation of a plain truth about man and about his proper relation to himself, to the world, to others and to the Absolute.
