Abstrakt

Now that Poland has entered the structures of the European Union, and when the legal work market has been opened for Poles in some countries of the Union, each month the number of people who have decided on the so-called “incomplete migration”, which means starting work abroad and having family life in Poland, increases. However, separation of the spouses due to the fact that one of them goes abroad to work significantly influences the process of breakdown of the relations between them, the disintegration of the marital communio. Moreover, the extent of this disintegration is often revealed only after the person working abroad comes back for permanent stay in Poland and after an attempt is made to start living together again; sometimes only then do the spouses experience disintegration of their relations and inability to revive the bond between them. Such a situation may lead to sanctioning the marriage by law through divorce, or to the decision about going abroad again.
