Charakterystyka systemu świadczeń rodzinnych w prawie polskim

Abstract

This article contains the description of the Polish system of family benefits. The notion itself of a benefit of this type is explained, as is the concept basing on which family benefits were made one of the most important instruments of state policy on families. The most commonplace definitions of benefits are discussed, as well as problems arising in the process of formulating one unambiguous definition that would encompass the whole specificity of family benefits. Furthermore, the article names and presents the functions of family benefits within the state policy, especially its policy on families, as well as the aims behind the creation of a system of family benefits.
