Biblijne i teologiczne podstawy nauki Kościoła katolickiego o małżeństwie

Abstract

Małżeństwo ma swoje bardzo mocne zakorzenienie w Piśmie Świętym zarówno Starego, jak i Nowego Testamentu. Na przestrzeni wieków Tradycja Kościoła wypracowała naukę opartą na Biblii dotyczącą małżeństwa i rodziny. Postanowienia soborów oraz wypowiedzi poszczególnych papieży konkretyzowały to nauczanie. Podkreślić należy również to, że małżeństwo katolickie jest sakramentem, w którym Pan Bóg udziela nowożeńcom szczególnej łaski do realizowania swego powołania. Celem niniejszego artykułu będzie ukazanie biblijnych podstaw małżeństwa oraz jego zakorzenienia w nauce Kościoła.

Marriage is very deeply rooted in Sacred Scripture, both in the Old and New Testaments. Over the centuries, the Church’s tradition has developed a Bible-based doctrine concerning marriage and the family. The provisions of Church councils and the expression of various popes have specified this teaching. It should also be emphasized that Catholic marriage is a sacrament in which God gives the newlyweds a special grace to pursue their vocation. The purpose of this article is to present the biblical foundations of marriage and the sacrament’s roots in the teachings of the Church.
