Artykuł zawiera krótkie przedstawienie stanowiska Edwarda Morgana Forstera wobec problemu przyszłości społeczeństwa i cywilizacji człowieka w odniesieniu do wydarzeń politycznych oraz zmian społeczno–ekonomicznych. Analiza próbuje pokazać najistotniejsze zagrożenia dla ludzkości, takie jak system totalitarny, dyktatura oraz nieograniczony postęp techniczny.
The article contains short presentation of Edward Morgan Forster’s attitude to the question of future of the society and civilization in comparison with the worldwide political, economic and social developments. The analysis will try to show the main threats to the society and humanity such as totalitarianism, dictatorship and uncontrolled technological progress.
