dc.description.abstract | The article presents a new eschatological concept, which allows the possibility of universal reconciliation, but maintains the dualism of heaven and hell. According to the author, the salvation of all cannot be hoped for since God revealed that there are people in hell who will remain there forever. However, after the cleansing final judgment, in hell there will be no persistence in hardness of heart, but there will be eternal suffering as aconsequence of the sin committed in the temporal life. The damned will no longer rebel, but they will agree to this just eternal penance. The first part of the article introduces the reader into a wide range of problems in the context of which the idea of reconciliation in dualism was born. The second chapter presents the new concept, which is distinctly different from the popular current of the socalled Hope of Universal Salvation. The third part explains how the presented concept differs from the theory of Eternal Hardness and at the same time coincides with the teaching of the Fathers and Doctors of the Church before the 12th century. The last chapter presents the core of the concept of reconciliation in dualism and the way it has been used to solve the problem of aporia between two groups of biblical texts. This applies to the group of pericopes about universal reconciliation (Col 1:19n, Eph 1,10; 1 Cor 15:,28; Phil 2; 10n; Jn 12:32; Acts 3:21), and the texts on the condemnation of some persons in hell (Dn 12:2; Mt 7,22n; 25:31-46, Lk 13:23-24; 1 Thess 5:3; 2 Thes 1:9; 2:10-12; Jude 5-7; 2 Pt 2:4-9).
