Analiza treści i kompozycji malowideł Mauzoleum Exodusu z nekropoli El-Bagawat w Egipcie (IV wiek)

Abstract

This paper is an attempt at an iconologie analysis of the paintings covering; the dome of the Exodus Mausoleum in el-Bagawat, dated on the Fourth or the beginning of the Fifth Century A.D. The author shows, on the basis of the present state of investigation, the coherence of the composition and of the placing of scenes. She tries to indicate the influence of the theological thought that determined the composition of the dome and the choice of Biblical scenes.
