Hermeneutyka teologiczna a metoda ikonograficzno-ikonologiczna w badaniach nad obrazami o treściach religijnych

Abstract

Autorka w przedstawionym artykule omawia różnice między dwiema metodami: hermeneutyką teologiczną a metodą ikonograficzno-ikonologiczną Erwina Panofsky’ego w interpretacji obrazów o treściach religijnych. Po wyjaśnieniu hermeneutyki teologicznej oraz poszczególnych etapów metody Panofsky’ego zostają omówione różnice między tymi dwiema metodami. W ujęciu zaproponowanym przez autorkę obie te metody, różniące się zasadniczo, mogą stanowić uzupełniające się podejścia badawcze.

The author discusses the differences between two methods: theological hermeneutics and the iconographic and iconological method of Erwin Panofsky in the interpretation of images with religious content. After explaining theological hermeneutics and Panofsky’s method, the author discusses a number of differences between these two methods. In the approach proposed by the author, these two methods, differing essentially, may be complementary to research approaches.
