Praca polskich salezjanów w duszpasterstwie polonijnym na terenie Berlina w latach 1967-2017

Abstract

Od roku 1967 w Berlinie Wschodnim duszpasterstwem Polaków zajmował się salezjanin z inspektorii kolońskiej, ks. Georg Broja pochodzący z Górnego Śląska. W 1987 r. do pracy w stolicy NRD wyznaczono salezjanów z inspektorii pilskiej, którzy duszpasterzowali tam do 2003 r. Dzięki zaangażowaniu studenta, ks. Konstantego Goławskiego z inspektorii warszawskiej, w 1981 r. w Berlinie Zachodnim powstało duszpasterstwo dla katolików mówiących po polsku. 1 stycznia 1997 r. zmieniono nazwę na Polską Misję Katolicką. Od 2003 r. czterech salezjanów polskich utrzymuje się z trzech etatów duszpasterskich przyznanych przez Kurię Berlińską. W niedzielę księża obsługują od 4 do 5 tys. wiernych.Since 1967, the pastoral care of Poles in East Berlin was taken by a Salesian from the Province of Cologne, Father Georg Broja from the Upper Silesia. As late as in 1987, the Salesians from the Province of Piła were appointed to work in the capital of the German Democratic Republic. They remained there until 2003. In 1981, Father Konstanty Goławski, a student from the Province of Warsaw, initiated in West Berlin pastoral care for Polish-speaking Catholics. On the 1st of January, 1997 its name was changed to the Polish Catholic Mission. Since 2003, four Polish Salesians have maintained themselves by holding three, full-time pastoral positions granted by the Curia of Berlin. On Sundays, the priests attend upon 4-5 thousand of people.
