Prawo pozytywne a rozwój biomedycyny

Abstract

There is a strong relationship connecting the practice of medicine (or biomedicine) and law. One can even talk about some kind of feedback between these two disciplines. Without law specifications the new medical activities, for example the transplantations of human heart, could not be put into practice. On the other hand, given the pressure of progress, only legal decision seem to guarantee the preservations of the human dignity in the new kind therapies and experiments taking advantage of contemporary technological knowledge, especially in the genetics field. In this situation it seems especially important, that lawyers, doctors, and specialist in bioethics accept a set of objective moral values that may serve as a kind background knowledge against which all the hard questions may be posed and discussed.
