Abstract

The article presents some of the pastoral and legal issues related to preparation for entering marriage by the spouses from the Catholic Church and the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland in optics of the unity and stability of mixed marriages. The method used in considering the problem is the method of comparative law study. There are collated two laws of the Churches that regulate preparation for entering marriage. After a presentation of current discipline, the idea of a possibility of ecumenical preparation for marriage is discussed. At the end, there is formulated a postulate de lege ferenda. It may contribute to an increase of the unity and stability of mixed marriages.
