Dziecko w starożytnej literaturze rabinicznej

Abstract

The article presents the Judaic outlook on a child in the light of the ancient rabbinic literature. The Christians are not familiar with the Talmud, hence their knowledge of rabbinic writings concerning a child, included therein, is very limited or they haven’t got such knowledge at all. However, these writings are an interesting supplement to the biblical texts about children which we are more familiar with. The article also cites the selected parts of the Hasidic stories, a Jewish religious movement which originated in Eastern Europe in the 18th century. One can notice how the spirit of the Hasids’ wisdom approaches the spirit of Christianity.
