Społeczeństwo strachu a warunki dialogu

Abstract

W artykule omówiono nowe uwarunkowania społeczne dialogu międzyreligijnego. Przyjęcie perspektywy socjologicznej i odwołanie do koncepcji społeczeństwa ryzyka i polityki strachu pokazało, że różnorodność religijna bywa dziś traktowana jako potencjalne zagrożenie. Następnie omówiono nowy kontekst społeczny, w jakim funkcjonuje dziś religia. Przedstawiono też różne sposoby rozumienia i praktykowania dialogu między wyznawcami różnych religii i możliwe skutki takiego dialogu, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem perspektywy państw europejskich.The article discusses the new social conditions of interreligious dialogue. Adopting a sociological perspective and referring to the concept of the risk society and the politics of fear showed that religious diversity today is sometimes treated as a potential threat. This was followed by a discussion of the new social context in which religion operates today. Different ways of understanding and practising dialogue between adherents of different religions and the possible outcomes of such dialogue were also presented, with a particular focus on the perspective of European countries.
