Uniwersalizm i uniwersalność wychowania

Abstract

Artykuł, stanowiący przedruk fragmentu monografii Mariana Nowaka Teorie i koncepcje wychowania podejmuje refleksję nad znaczeniem uniwersalizmu w wychowaniu, szczególnie w perspektywie chrześcijańskiej tradycji. Uniwersalizm rozumiany jest jako dążenie do powszechności i jedności, zdolne do integrowania różnorodnych elementów kultury i rozwoju człowieka. Wychowanie chrześcijańskie ukazuje swoją uniwersalność w wymiarze filozoficznym, etycznym i pedagogicznym, obejmując troskę o integralny rozwój każdej osoby. Podkreślone zostaje znaczenie tradycji universitas – uniwersytetu jako instytucji formacyjnej – oraz harmonijne łączenie refleksji teoretycznej z praktyką wychowawczą. Uniwersalizm chrześcijański zmierza do integracji osobowości poprzez chrystocentryzm, personalizm, moralizm i humanizm, które jednoczą przeciwstawne tendencje. Religia, z natury pedagogiczna, ukierunkowuje wychowanie ku transcendencji i otwiera człowieka na wartości najwyższe, przygotowując go do pełnego uczestnictwa w życiu społecznym i kulturowym.The article, reprinted from Marian Nowak’s monograph Theories and Concepts of Education, reflects on the significance of universalism in education, with reference to the Christian tradition. Universalism is understood as a striving for universality and unity, capable of integrating diverse elements of culture and human development. Christian education reveals its universal dimension in philosophical, ethical, and pedagogical terms, embracing concern for the integral growth of every person. Emphasis is placed on the tradition of the universitas – the university as a formative institution – and on the harmonious combination of theoretical reflection with educational practice. Christian universalism seeks to integrate personality through Christocentrism, personalism, moral values, and humanism, which unite opposing tendencies. Religion, by its very nature, is pedagogical and directs education toward transcendence, opening the human being to ultimate values and preparing them for full participation in social and cultural life.
