Abstrakt

In recent years we have been witnessing a dynamic development of new computer techniques, mainly of the Internet. An ever increasing number of people use it. From the moment of the appearance of the Net the Church assumed a positive attitude towards it; undoubtedly this was influenced by the atmosphere created by the Vatican Council II. This is why the Church treats the Internet as a new forum where it may preach Gospel to the world, and it wants to use it widely in pastorate. On the Net there are quite a few Catholic websites, but visiting and reading them leaves a lot to be desired. Elderly people do not visit Catholic WWW sites, but also the young, who relatively more often use the Net, are interested in those sites only to a slight degree. Hence in pastorate, understood as the strategy of the whole Church, a stronger stress should be put to promoting Catholic websites on the Internet.
