Czy zabieg sztucznego zapłodnienia jest czynem wewnętrznie złym? Próba odpowiedzi w świetle encykliki Jana Pawła II Veritatis splendor

Abstract

Niniejszy artykuł stanowi próbę etycznej ocena procedur sztucznego zapłodnienia z punktu widzenia koncepcji czynu wewnętrznie złego, stanowiącej przewodni temat encykliki Jana Pawła II Veritatis splendor. Odpowiedź na pytanie, czy sztuczna prokreacja jest z punktu widzenia przedmiotu czynem wewnętrznie złym, jest warunkiem adekwatnej oceny argumentów podnoszonych tak przez zwolenników jak i przeciwników metod sztucznej prokreacji. W artykule został poddany analizie przedmiot czynu, określony jako zabieg sztucznego zapłodnienia oraz wpływ okoliczności leżących po stronie podmiotowej na jego etyczną ocenę.

The article is an attempt at ethical evaluation of the artificial fertilisation procedures from the perspective of absolutely inwardly wrong act – the conception which is the main theme of Veritatis splendour – the encyclical by John Paul II. The answer for the question if the artificial procreation is an act – from the perspective of the subject – inwardly wrong is necessary for adequate evaluation of arguments exercised by followers as well as opponents of the artificial procreation methods. The subject matter of the act which is determined as artificial fertilisation and the impact of circumstances – which lay on its subjective side – on its ethical evaluation have been analyzed in the article.
