    Theology develops and formulates its reflections in the context of human presence in the world. Christian anthropology is particularly committed to this mission. Protology points to God’s original plan for the man, who is oriented towards eschatological fulfilment. Anthropology in the teachings of the Catholic Church is based on a solid foundation of the mystery of Christ. Although many things change over time, there are certain values that are not subject to such change, because they have a foundation in Christ. The Catholic Church indicates the ultimate goal of human life. Anthropology stands in the service of theology in its many dimensions. It is important to recognize the personalist dimension of theology.

    The Church, as a community, is accompanied by the constant presence of the Holy Spirit, whose Son of God has not only promised, but has sent in the day of Pentecost. It is not the purpose of the Holy Spirit; The Church is to be revived by the Holy Spirit, which sanctifies it in individual believers. Jesus’ requirement of holiness is the expression of the attitude of a just man who gives him the gift of grace − charisms, he uses for the benefit of the development of his own personal perfection, and also every person use charisms to serve the Church Community. As an individual is not the saint of egoism but a community servant. If he is to persevere in this truth, he must constantly nourish the consciousness of God’s presence and work for the benefit of the community.

    The Relationship of Pope John Paul II to the Father of the Redeemer

    The New Testament figure of St. Joseph comes to the fore in direct connection with his relationship with Mary, who is called to the service of motherhood, so that by divine action she may become the mother of the Redeemer. The title of St. John Paul II’s apostolic exhortation Redemptoris Custos indicates the mission of St. Joseph in the life of Jesus Christ as his protector. It is true that St. Joseph, Mary’s husband performs this role in certain situations. Joseph takes an attitude to a situation that affects him. For this reason, St. John Paul II does not focus only on the very service of the protector, but focuses on the relationship from which the protector’s service itself derives. This relationship is fatherhood, which corresponds to Joseph’s legitimate relationship with Mary. Mary herself defines Joseph’s relationship with Jesus as that of a father: „your father and I have been anxiously searching for you“ (Luke 2:48). It follows from the very marriage of Mary and Joseph, which unites them, that they both have the title of parent. John Paul II emphasizes this fact and formulates from it the relationship of fatherhood to Jesus. He revealed Joseph in the mystery of Christ with an emphasis on the biblical basis. The presented text reflects the new dimension of Joseph’s relationship with Christ, which is fulfilled by participating in the mystery of the Incarnation of the Eternal Word, together with Mary.

    Theological Icons of the Virgin Mary in the Teachings of Pope Francis

    At the center of the world’s attention is man as a being who is called to complete his life in communion with God. To fulfill this purpose, after the fall of the first people, God sends his Son, who received human nature from his mother – the Virgin Mary. The motherhood of Jesus‘ mother is the reason for taking the right attitude toward the woman through whom we received the Creator of life. It is rightly spoken of the Marian veneration, which is shown by the cult of hyperdulia. The doctrine of the Catholic Church takes a position on all the important aspects of this reverence as well as the correct attitude of the believer to mariological topics that resonate in theological circles. An important and irreplaceable role is also played by the teachings of the popes, which are presented in different ways and on different occasions. Pope Francis takes a stand on the issues arising from the participation of the Virgin Mary in the history of salvation. In the study we will point out the theological images of the Virgin Mary in the teachings of Pope Francis as they are contained in the documents of his pontificate.
