Roczniki Pastoralno-Katechetyczne były kontynuacją „Roczników Teologicznych” zeszyt 6: Teologia pastoralna, wydawanych od 1949 r. przez Towarzystwo Naukowe KUL (pierwotny tytuł „Roczniki Teologiczno-Kanoniczne”). „Roczniki Pastoralno-Katechetyczne” ukazywały się w latach 2009-2013. Obecnie ponownie stanowią zeszyt 6 i 11 „Roczników Teologicznych”.

I Cor 3, 9), who should not be ignored, but has to be cultivated and built with hope. The deciding criterion is the Church’s care of each man, care of transmitting the only Word that redeems. This criterion inspires each form of catechesis, and especially the catechesis of people intellectually disabled, requiring religion teachers to show proper competence and creativity (cf. General Directory of Catechesis 169, 189; CT 31; CCC 24-25). Catechetic documents also suggest that the psychopedagogical characteristics of intellectually disabled people should be considered in such a way, which could allow preparing a special catechesis for them. In Poland special catechesis tries to achieve this aim, taking into consideration the terminology respecting both the standards of special pedagogy and the directives of the Catholic Church concerning catechesis, as well as the Polish catechetic tradition.Pozycja Kierunki rozwoju katechizmów katolickichKiciński, Andrzej (Towarzystwo Naukowe KUL, 2012)Trends in the development of Catholic catechisms are closely connected with the history of the Church. One may attempt to argue that outlines of catechisms were conceived along with the first written instructions concerning the catechumenate process. Using modern language one can say that it was then that outlines were created of what was later called the Book of Faith, the book that answers the fundamental questions: what do we believe, how do we celebrate Christian mysteries, how should we live in Christ, how should we pray. Later there were periods when catechisms appeared one after another, and when it seemed that their twilight came, after the Catechism of the Catholic Church was published, their revival occurred.
