Pozycja Teoria ostateczna i prawa przyrodyHeller, Michał (Wydział Teologiczny w Tarnowie, 2002)The final goal of contemporary physics is to create the Ultimate Theory, called also the Theory of Everything. Such a theory should not only be logically self-consistent, but also physically self-contained, i.e. it should explain the Universe with no help of „anything external”. The status of space-time and physical laws, in this respect, is briefly discussed. It seems that this maximalistic program is doomed to fail as long as one accepts foundationalist philosophy of physics, i.e. the view that there exists a fundamental level out of which everything else could be deduced.
