Pozycja „Plenty of food for everyone”: a Balthasarian look at Babette’s feastServais, Jacques (Wydawnictwo Pallottinum, 2017)W niniejszym artykule Jacques Servais rozważa ekranizację opowiadania Karen Blixen [pseudonim Isak Dinesen] z 1987 r. Servais zwraca uwagę na to w jaki sposób film ostatecznie dotyczy przyjęcia stworzenia. Kiedy życie różnych postaci zbiegnie się w kulminacyjnej uczcie, radość z tego przyjęcia uwalnia jego uczestników od bogatszego od siebie towarzystwa. Opierając się na teologii Hansa Urs von Balthasara, Servais omawia, w jaki sposób starania Babette o zapewnienie tego posiłku są wyrazem chrześcijańskiej misji, w której przygotowuje się nas łaską do pełniejszej zgody i świętowania dobroci bycia. Z takim upałem i ciężką pracą nie jest to oczywiście żadna nieziemska uczta. Raczej bierze ona udział w dziele nadawania formy światu.
