On the occasion of the 300 anniversary of Newton’s Principia, John Paul II expressed his will to initiate the series of works which would contribute to “the dialogue between the religious and scientific cultures” Responding to this initiative the Vatican Observatory organised a series of international seminars under the common heading Scientific Perspectives on Divine Action. The history of this seminars is briefly reviewed.
