One of the most important and famous aspect in the theology of pope Benedict XVI is a sacred liturgy. The article regards chosen aspects of ecclesiological theology in Joseph Ratzinger’s liturgical reflection. According to former pope the liturgy is a space of God’s activity in His Church. For Joseph Ratzinger in the liturgy the Church is created by Jesus Christ. This truth is showed by prayer toward to the east and theological understanding of the liturgy as a Passover of Jesus Christ. In the thought of pope Benedict XVI liturgy is not only very important part of the Church’s life, but celebrating of the liturgy is necessary for Christian life.
