Pozycja Duszpasterstwo polonijne w Szwecji a podtrzymywanie kultury polskiej i integrowanie PoloniiChamarczuk, Mariusz (Wyższe Seminaria Duchowne Towarzystwa Salezjańskiego, 2002)In the history of Polish emigration after the Second World War there have been many important events. This community being spread all over the World has to confront many new circumstances. It has to face up to new challenges in the areas of culture, finance and politics in order to safeguard its identity. After more then 50 years of struggle to protect the most important elements constituting the national culture and a strife to keep the family traditions helping in all the attempts to free Poland from the yoke of a communist system, a new challenge rises posing a new question: what should be developed and which values should be strengthened as well as the question around what should the Polish communities abroad unite. This essay shows the importance and the role of the pastoral care among the Polish community in Sweden. An activity that has a goal of supporting and developing Polish culture, building unity between the Poles in diaspora, supporting the Polish families in the upbringing of children and youths and strengthening the ties with the country of origin. To summarise, this is an attempt to show the value and lofty role played by Polish Catholic Mission within the catholic church in Sweden in the process of strengthening the Polish culture in a multinational society who’s greatest challenge is building cultural integration.Pozycja Miłość czynna Caritas urzeczywistniana w działalności społecznej Polskiej Misji Katolickiej w SzwecjiChamarczuk, Mariusz (Wyższe Seminaria Duchowne Towarzystwa Salezjańskiego, 2005)Christianity demands actions which are an approval and guarantee of the autenticity of its deepest content and meaning. The Christian humanism may be realized in life in no other way then by considering the man in all his dimensions, also the dimension of his basic needs for material things indispensable for a dignified life, needs that often can only be satisfied thanks to the help from other people or institutions. The above article is a presentation of the charitable works of Polish Catholic Mission in Sweden, who apart from its pastoral mission that is carried out among Polish emigrants, is also engaged in showing active love, Caritas, through collaboration with different organizations, foundations, orders, hospitals, schools and individual people. It's an activity that confirms the thesis that mature Christianity demands to be fulfilled through commitment to helping people in need, since it is a common imperative that has its source in the Christian values.Pozycja Pierwszy Kongres Katechetyczny Kościoła Katolickiego w Szwecji, Göteborg 1–3 XI 2002 r.Chamarczuk, Mariusz (Wyższe Seminaria Duchowne Towarzystwa Salezjańskiego, 2003)Pozycja Socjologiczne teorie integracyjne a rzeczywistość jednoczącej się EuropyChamarczuk, Mariusz (Wyższe Seminaria Duchowne Towarzystwa Salezjańskiego, 2004)Pozycja Światowe Polonijne Spotkanie Intelektualistów, Ludzi Kultury i Sztuki (Monachium, 24–28 października 2003 r.)Chamarczuk, Mariusz (Wyższe Seminaria Duchowne Towarzystwa Salezjańskiego, 2004)Pozycja Wybrane aspekty życia społecznego współczesnej Szwecji. Próba ukazania interakcji społeczno-obyczajowo-religijnych zachodzących między Szwedami a PolakamiChamarczuk, Mariusz (Wyższe Seminaria Duchowne Towarzystwa Salezjańskiego, 2003)During the previous century Sweden has gone through many changes in cultural, educational, tutorial, and moral aspects. One can also see a shift in attitudes toward as well as more vivid interest in the religious matters. One can say that the country is going through profound social changes. They are a result of an ever widening openness toward cultural and moral trends in present day Europe as well as other countries around the World, in particular the United States. Under the influences of new trends Sweden has gone from a backward country in the beginning of the past century to a place of an in every respect highly developed civilisation. The characteristics of a post-modern society are clearly visible in Sweden. One such characteristic is a mix of different nationalities. Poles and people of Polish descent represent one group among many nationalities and ethnic groups in Sweden. On the one hand, their presence in the Swedish community is marked by vivid and active participation. On the other hand, it requires a lot of effort and self-denial in order to tackle everyday circumstances and to face up to the challenges posed by a life in a foreign country. Different cultures come in contact with each other in constellations: Polish culture – Swedish culture, Polish culture – cultures of other immigrants. The above article is an attempt to describe the social changes that have occurred in Sweden. It also tries to depict mutual permeation of Poles and Swedes, the influence of Poles and the Polish culture on the current changes and how these processes influence the Polish community in diaspora.
