Pozycja Kosmologia i rzeczywistośćHeller, Michał (Wydawnictwo Naukowe Papieskiej Akademii Teologicznej w Krakowie, 1988)Developments in relativistic cosmology falsify both phenomenalistic and instrumental conceptions of science. Many examples taken from the twentieth century cosmology show that the role of cosmological models cannot be limited neither to observable phenomena nor to organizing experimental data. Theories of modern physics, relativistic cosmology among others, give an insight into the structure of the world. Long chain of successes in predicting and explaining phenomena by mathematical theories of modern science allows one to believe that mathematical structures, which constitute the essence of these theories, approximate the structure of the world. Modern mathematical methods, commonly used in cosmology, clearly reveal the structural character of the science of the Universe.
