The basic tasks of the media are service to human persons and to society to learn the truth and find the way to real freedom and mutual solidarity. In today’s world they seldom fulfil their obligations set by the press laws and journalism ethics. On many levels in contemporary reality they have become the authority steering the life of human persons and society. They manipulate the truth, hamper human liberty and destroy social bonds. They are not the example of service to the people.
