Pozycja Eschatologiczny wymiar nauczania religii w środowisku przedszkolnym i szkolnymKostorz, Jerzy (Uniwersytet Opolski. Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego, 2010)Religious instruction in kindergardens and schools is one of the forms of predicting the God’s word and educating children and teenagers in faith. Its identity is defined not only by the aims, tasks and content but also by dimensions on which the most important values permeating the whole process and directing it to the future are centered. Nowadays, many dimensions are discussed like biblical, ecclesial, liturgical, existential, moral, cultural, eschatological, historical and ecumenical. This article presents the way of expressing the eschatological dimension. The theologians’ reflection concerning “eschatology” and its synonyms is treated as a reference point. The main part of the article delas with the eschatological issues that can be found in the recent catechesis core curriculum and the religion teaching programme. Finally, the analysis is summarized and the guidelines for the authors of new religion coursebook series in different types of schools are presented.Pozycja Introducing Teenagers to a Dialogue with Judaism as the Task of School CatechesisKostorz, Jerzy (The Pontifical University of John Paul II in Cracow, 2014)This analysis proves that introducing teenagers to a dialogue with Judaism is one of catechesis’s tasks. This task has been outlined in the post-conciliar documents of the Catholic Church. It underlines the spiritual ties between Catholic people and the Jews and promotes forming an attitude of openness towards followers of the Mosaic religion. It also contributes to mitigating anti-Semitism among Catholic teenagers. At the same time, it raises interest in Jewish traditions and culture. In the religion syllabus in lower and post-secondary schools we can come across numerous references (mainly indirect) to Judaism. The focus on passing honest knowledge about Judaism can be also clearly visible. In this way, formation of the cognitive element of interreligious dialogue takes place. On the other hand, less attention is devoted to other components of this attitude such as the emotional and behavioural elements. That is why there is a demand to complete the lacking elements by watching films and having discussions. The above mentioned multimedia materials called “The religion lesson” have been prepared to satisfy this need. Great importance is also attached to creating situations that allow Christian teenagers to participate in meetings with the Jews. It can be organized in the form of Days of Judaism and panel discussions with Jews and distinguished contemporary theologians and philosophers. Open meetings with representatives of Judaism are a great opportunity to perceive the Jews as “older brethren in the faith”. They let young people discover the cultural wealth and vision of Judaism and teach teenagers respect for the religious beliefs of the Jews. Thereby, they can contribute to the change of mentality of young participants of catechesis in their approach to Judaism. It is worth referring to the works of Jewish culture in these activities. It is the cultural heritage that comprises a great reference point to showing the strong Judaic roots of Christian culture. Thus, it is necessary, for the topics in Judaism proposed for religious syllabuses and catechetical material to be closely connected with organizing meetings of young Catholics with followers of the Mosaic religion. Only this kind of experience can contribute to an authentic inter-religious dialogue.Pozycja Katechetyczne myśli encykliki papieża Franciszka „Lumen fidei”Kostorz, Jerzy (Uniwersytet Opolski. Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego, 2013)This article attempted to present catechetical thoughts included in the encyclical Lumen fidei. It is the newest papal encyclical, the first during the pontificate of Pope Francis. Its subject matter is connected with “The year of faith” celebrated in the Catholic Church. This encyclical was created with significant participation of Benedict XVI, the predecessor of the present Pope Francis. The present Pope added a few thoughts to this draft. Firstly, this reflection was focused on depicting the understanding of faith in Lumen fidei encyclical. The attention was paid to catechetical message relating to faith. Next, the subject of faith stimulation and developmet in catechesis was discussed. Although this encyclical is not devoted to catechesis it contains many important catechetical thoughts. Therefore, an attempt was made to discover these catechetical truths and show their meaning for reflection and catechists’ work.Pozycja Katecheza dorosłych w świetle wytycznych I Synodu Diecezji OpolskiejKostorz, Jerzy (Uniwersytet Opolski. The problems of this catechesis concentrate most of all on the possibilities of systematic development of adult’s faith and their active engagement in the Church’s activity. This article presents the idea of adult catechesis prepared by The 1st Opole Diocese Synod working in years 2002-2005. Not only has it shown and justified the need of adult catechesis but also depicted various opportunities to realize this catechesis in the form of pastoral catechesis in the parish. The realization of adult catechesis in the particular parish promotes the development of faith as well as it offers the possibility to engage in the Church’s life.Pozycja O potrzebie tolerancji w posłudze katechetyKostorz, Jerzy (Towarzystwo Naukowe KUL, 2011)Social-cultural transformations in the modern world play an important role not only in education and general socialization, but also decide about the teachers’ axiological preferences and attitudes. They also have a significant effect on the quality of catechization, mainly on the range of the catechist’s didactic and educational tasks at school. The task connected with education of children and adolescents in the spirit of tolerance should be included here. However, the point is not to be adjusted to the commonly propagated slogans, in which tolerance is understood very widely, but it is the attitude that is the expression of properly understood tolerance, based on Christian axiology. Hence, the aim of the present study is to refer to the issues connected with transmission of knowledge and with shaping socially desired attitudes of tolerance among the catechized pupils. First the concept of “tolerance”, and then the features distinguishing the attitude of tolerance among catechists are described. Problematyka wiary jest ważna i zawsze aktualna, dlatego często pojawia się ona w wielu publikacjach. Katechetycy podejmują różne problemy, a wśród nich często zajmują się rozwijaniem poznania treści wiary i kształtowaniem postaw wynikających z wiary. Są to problemy wpisane w naturę katechezy i wychowania chrześcijańskiego, dlatego poświęcono im wiele uwagi w niniejszym artykule.
