Pozycja A Year in Stanisław Grzepski’s (1524–1570) De multiplici siclo et talento hebraicoLinke, Waldemar (Katolicki Uniwersytet Lubelski Jana Pawła II, 2023)The article explores Stanisław Grzepski’s workshop of biblical exegesis and his hermeneutics. By analyzing his analysis of the system of biblical measurements and his views on the concept of the year in the Jewish-biblical world – as derived and reconstructed on the basis of textual comparison of the Hebrew, Greek and Latin versions of the Scripture, along with thorough mathematical calculations – one can perceive Grzepski’s approach to the Bible. His hermeneutics, seen against the background of the presuppositions of medieval and Renaissance exegesis, allow the author of the article to draw certain conclusions concerning the threats that also modern exegesis should be cautious of.Pozycja Intertekstualizm w badaniach biblijnych na przykładzie ApokalipsyLinke, Waldemar (Wyższe Seminarium Duchowne Diecezji Warszawsko-Praskiej, 2002)Pozycja Jesus Christ, Glory and Cognition. Is Eph 1:15–23 a Judaistic and/or Hellenistic Christian Text?Linke, Waldemar (Katolicki Uniwersytet Lubelski Jana Pawła II, 2021)The paper is an interpretation of Eph 1:15-23 which is a consequence of the shorter version of Eph 1:15 (without the words: τὴν ἀγάπην). It is an attempt to answer the question of who the “saints” are in this verse and the entire pericope, what background (Hellenistic or Judaic) this concept has, and what was the character of the church community in this city in the post-Pauline period. The method used in this paper consists of historical and contextual analysis of lexicographical end ideological material used in the pericope. The first step is a study of the rhetorical structure of Eph as the instrument for interpretation of the role of the pericope in the meaning of the text. The second part of the paper is presented the binary way of exposition: in the language of Judaism and in the Hellenistic terms. From this perspective the category of “saints” is described. From this analysis it is concluded: “saints” are the group belonging to the Judeo-Christian component of the Church, the political substructure of the Church but not in terms of the separation, but of the pluralistic unity.Pozycja Kara wieczna i jej przeciwwaga w Mt 25,46Linke, Waldemar (Katolicki Uniwersytet Lubelski Jana Pawła II, 2019)„Kara wieczna” w Mt 25,31-46 to pojęcie symetryczne do „życia wiecznego”. Symetryzm cechuje całą jednostkę kompozycyjną, do której należy ta perykopa. Pozycja Księga Starożytności Biblijnych - wprowadzenie biblijno-historyczneLinke, Waldemar (Wyższe Seminarium Duchowne Diecezji Warszawsko-Praskiej, 2009)Pozycja Kształtowanie się doktryny Soboru Trydenckiego o natchnieniu Pisma ŚwiętegoLinke, Waldemar (Wyższe Seminarium Duchowne Diecezji Warszawsko-Praskiej, 2008)Pozycja Miłosierdzie Jezusa zmartwychwstałego dla Kościoła na ziemi (Ap 3,14-22)Linke, Waldemar (Katolicki Uniwersytet Lubelski Jana Pawła II, 2003)Pozycja Prorocki spór sądowy w Ap 1,1-3,22Linke, Waldemar (Wyższe Seminarium Duchowne Diecezji Warszawsko-Praskiej, 2003)Pozycja Verbum abbreviatum and silentium Dei in Benedict XVI’s Writings and the Object and Method of Biblical ExegesisLinke, Waldemar (Papieski Wydział Teologiczny we Wrocławiu, 2024)This article deals with the development of biblical exegesis in the light of the theory of knowledge and methodology, which operates on the concepts of verbum abbreviatum and silentium Dei, which Benedict XVI caused to be included in the Post-Synodal Apostolic Exhortation Verbum Domini. These terms describe the object of biblical exegesis as a theological discipline. The article commences with an analysis of the use and understanding of verbum abbreviatum in Verbum Domini and continues with an addendum on the motif of silentium Dei. The disproportion between the two corresponds to the different roles that the concepts play in the construction of the document. For silentium Dei is merely a supplement – as important as it is – to the theology of the Word. Together with the concept of verbum abbreviatum it forms the descriptive part of the article. The third part is a search for an answer to the question of what biblical exegesis deals with, and therefore what its formal object is, which leads to the fundamental epistemological problems of biblical exegesis. These are considered in the light of an analysis of the aforementioned concepts in the thought of Benedict XVI and in the document mentioned above. The phenomenological approach seeks to answer the question of what biblical exegesis is and what its methodological consequences are. The phenomenological treatment of Scripture as the object of exegesis aims to integrate the theological aspect into exegetical considerations and to show exegetical procedures as intrinsically linked to the theological interpretation of the Bible. In the methodology of Scripture exegesis, this offers the possibility of constructing a methodological project that, on the one hand, makes use of all research procedures, allows the elimination of ideological elements incorporated into the research, and, on the other hand, preserves the theological sense of exegetical research. In the last part of the article, the author analyses various attempts to frame the problem of theological exegetical method in biblical studies, and offers his proposal based on all the considerations of the topic.
