Temperament is considered the most biological and stable part of one’s personality. Cognition and understanding of your own temperament seems to be essential for good functioning in interpersonal relationships. This article analyzes the selected theoretical models of an adult person’s temperament. It presents temperament models developed by such outstanding psychologists as Eysenck, Gray, Zuckerman and Mehrabian. In addition, the article presents the temperament theory of polish researcher Jan Strelau.

Marriage is a very unique type of interpersonal relationship between two people. Proper communication between spouses is a crucial issue for the good health of the marriage. This article is focused on some communication processes between partners. The communication axioms, as the principles of great impact on the marital relationship, have been shown together with the possibilities of the spouses’ communication difficulties. The role of non-verbal communication, as well as the specification of some concrete communication behaviors, are the highlighted topics in the following article.
