W swoich kolejnych modyfikacjach ukazuje on chrześcijańską dobroczynność w kategoriach chrystocentrycznych, gdzie jej motywem nadrzędnym winna być zawsze miłość do „Całego Chrystusa”.

    Podstawowy warsztat liturgiczny homilisty
Wasilewski, Edward (Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego Uniwersytetu Opolskiego, 2015)
The statements of the Second Vatican Council explicitly indicate that liturgy is one of the basic sources of homilies. A homily is part of liturgy itself and fulfils different functions there. This way it becomes a lecture on holy mysteries and Christian life, which is done on the basis of the writings of the saints in relation to the liturgical year. The techniques of a homilist should be organized so as to give direct access to liturgical texts which can thoroughly explain the ceremonies and introduce people to a deeper experience of the performed mystery. A key to this can be subject indices placed in handbook-like studies.

Potrzeba recepcji treści Listu apostolskiego Jana Pawła II „Mulieris dignitatem” we współczesnym kaznodziejstwie
Wasilewski, Edward (Prymasowski Instytut Kultury Chrześcijańskiej im. Stefana Kard. Wyszyńskiego w Bydgoszczy, 2014)
Today women are not only on a par with men in many fields but also tend to achieve dominance. When they sometimes attempt to imitate and rival with men, a question arises of their position in the world and their place in social and religious life. Efforts should be taken to treat a woman with all the respect due to her calling. Society, hence the Church through its teaching as well, should create conditions conducive to the approach. Our contemporary civilisation bears witness to a woman’s drama as she has lost the place that befits her. The struggle for equal rights and emancipation, itself understandable, frequently leads to the loss of femininity, the obliteration of sex differences, women’s conformity to men and thus to the loss of their true vocation. Modern preaching insufficiently refers to John Paul II’s apostolic letter Mulieris Dignitatem, published in 1988, which stresses the role of women in social life. Therefore, preachers face an important task that may help understand the efforts to gain due rights and allow respect for every woman’s humanity, which is often reduced by social conditions. This in turn will contribute to the restoration of a woman’s moral strength, which lies in her consciousness, and help her reinforce her calling. A widespread reception of the pope’s letter becomes a major priority in preaching. The need is even more evident in the context of present-day transformations, where on the one hand women remain passive observers of reality but on the other fight for their rights, which stand at the basis of their nature and calling.

Przymioty miłości małżeńskiej w interpretacji obrazu „Portret małżonków Arnolfinich” w kaznodziejskim przepowiadaniu
Wasilewski, Edward (Prymasowski Instytut Kultury Chrześcijańskiej im. Stefana Kard. Wyszyńskiego w Bydgoszczy, 2015)
Jan van Eyck, a representative of Netherlandish realism, was one of the most outstanding painters of the 15th century. He was a forerunner of oil painting and originator of the Renaissance style. Of his numerous paintings, predominantly portraits, one is particularly noteworthy: The Arnolfini Portrait, which depicts a wedding scene. The objects highlighted in the painting have their rich symbolism and meaning, which should be interpreted in terms of marital love virtues. The biblical and theological interpretation can be referred to preaching, particularly in the context of the sacrament of marriage. In the present civilization of the image, interpreted and perceived in a broad sense of the word, the masterpiece and its theological meaning may serve as a source of interpretation of the virtues of marriage. For centuries details related to the characters have been interpreted by art historians and painting experts. They can also be used for the sake of pulpit preaching.

Warsztat kaznodziejski Pana Jezusa wzorem dla seminaryjnego wychowawcy
Wasilewski, Edward (Prymasowski Instytut Kultury Chrześcijańskiej im. Stefana Kard. Wyszyńskiego w Bydgoszczy, 2013)
We live in a generation that has depreciated the authority of educators and their role in social life. Unfortunately, this negative trend also concerns the seminary community. Learning to be a good educator requires a proper interpretation of Jesus’ preaching methods. Imitating the Master of Nazareth may shape an educator that will not only be a teacher and a pedagogue, but also a master. In the pedagogical perspective, the Gospel remains the best treaty on education that people have. The preaching methods employed by Jesus reveal several features of a good educator. Thus, in order to perform their duties well, seminary teachers should be reliable and determined, love and trust their students, and speak well about others. Such educators should never resort to fear; instead, they ought to be able to praise and reprimand, be open to people causing trouble and introduce others into the world of freedom. Good teachers guarantee that their well-educated, mature students will in the future become good educators themselves. At present, the world needs great educators. There is often a shortage of those at home and in school; therefore, they should also be present in the seminary as well. Good educators, or evangelical educators, are concerned and can feel the pain of an unfulfilled seminary community resulting from the immaturity of its students.

Związek modlitwy nieustannej z przepowiadaniem homilijnym w świetle przekazów patrystycznych
Wasilewski, Edward (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2016)
Preparation of a homilist for preaching the word of God is a complex process which covers his sphere of intellect, feelings and will. This issue is widely discussed by the fathers of the Church. It is not only the preaching of God’s truth, but primarily a testimony to their life, since a homilist is a first listener. Personal prayer is indispensable in the preparation of a homily. The etymology of the Greek term ομιλια (homily) means a “communion with God”. A homily addressed to listeners, and its effectiveness, depend on the personal „communion with God” which should become a personal experience of the minister of the word of God. What becomes important is spiritual preparation of a homilist, where a crucial role is played by a careful study of the Scripture as well as personal prayer. Those two elements, rather than rhetorical skills, are the main driving force of the whole preaching. This kind of communion with God should be a continuous life disposition of a homilist, both at the preparation stage and during the preaching of the word of God.
