    Il Vangelo della Creazione – la responsabilità dell’uomo per il creato, Commento a Laudato si’

    The article offers a commentary on the first three parts of the second chapter of the encyclical Laudato si᾿, entitled The Gospel of Creation. Pope Francis wishes to offer his readers great wealth of life experience that emerges from the Bible in order to put it at the service of an «integral ecology» in a fruitful dialogue between science and faith. Due to the great complexity of the ecological issue, a multicultural and multidisciplinary dialogue is required. Beginning with the beauty and goodness of the original creation, the encyclical speaks of a rupture that arose from a primal disobedience that had ramifications for the rest of history. The excursus, which aims to deepen the issue of dominium terrae in an exegetical manner, analyzes four verbs which in two descriptions of creation speak of human influence on nature: dominate and subordinate, nurture and preserve. As humanity, we are invited by the Pope to recognize the value of creation as a gift and to listen to the wounded voice of all creation, rediscovering the courage to heal its many wounds. In this way the contemporary humanity will be able to sing hymns of praise and admiration for God over the beauty of creation. The Pope, summing up biblical and theological teaching, reaffirms the ultimate goal of creation: “all creatures are moving forward with us and through us towards a common point of arrival, which is God” (LS 83). The ultimate plan, implemented in the fullness of God, has already been attained by the risen Christ (LS 83).

    Przedsiębiorczość w encyklice papieża Franciszka Laudato si’

    Omówiono pojęcie przedsiębiorczości oraz rozumienie tego pojęcia w Encyklice Laudato si’. Przedstawiono pożądane cechy przedsiębiorcy. Wskazano na znaczenie działalności gospodarczej dla społeczeństwa oraz dla pracowników. Przytoczono i krótko przedyskutowano sformułowania zawarte w encyklice, dotyczące zagrożeń związanych z przedsiębiorczością oraz wskazania w celu ich uniknięcia. Zwrócono uwagę na niektóre aspekty nauczania papieża Franciszka, zbliżone do nowego podejścia ESG (environmental, social, governance) Unii Europejskiej.

    Today in the era of climate change, the publication of the Encyclical Laudato si’ in 2015 has significantly contributed to increasing public attention to the ecological issue. The health service must also take up the challenge of ecological sustainability in hospitals, in the institutions of curative medicine, but also beyond this, in the areas of prevention. This means, for example, working out in each field of public health how it could contribute to ecological sustainability. This article examines a part of the sixth chapter of the encyclical to identify possible points of connection between health education and environmental education. Beyond the corresponding themes and common competencies to be developed in these two fields, the encyclical can contribute to a deeper understanding of health and environmental education in the light of ecological conversion.

    Przeglądowy artykuł kompleksowo przedstawia stan środowiska dla trzech jego elementów: wód, powietrza atmosferycznego i gleb, w odniesieniu do istniejących aktów prawnych, planów dotyczących środowiskowych zmian w Europie do 2030 roku, ale również naukowych wyzwań stawianych w europejskiej przestrzeni badawczej. Odnosi informacje zarówno o stanie środowiska, jak i planach stawianych globalnie społeczeństwu, naukowcom i zarządzającym do encykliki Laudato si’ Franciszka poświęconej „trosce o wspólny dom”. Każdy z elementów środowiska omówiony został w trzech kontekstach: akty prawne regulujące i określające stopień zanieczyszczenia, zanieczyszczenie w Europie i Polsce oraz odniesienie do encykliki papieża Franciszka i wyzwania na przyszłość.

    Christians profess faith in God the Creator, who in his love placed man at the center of Creation so that he would take care of it. They profess also faith in Jesus Christ the Redeemer of the universe: “Christ is Lord of the cosmos and of history. In him human history and indeed all creation are «set forth» and transcendently fulfilled” (CCC, nr. 668). At the turn of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, the ecological question in which God’s plan for creation and, in him, for man seems to have vanished. Tackling it is not just a technical question but requires a right vision and, indeed, an ecological conversion. Pope Francis, with the usual foresight and parresía that characterizes him, confessing his own path of ecological conversion – an expression learned from Saint John Paul II – , and inspired by the Canticle of the Creatures of Saint Francis of Assisi, has published the encyclical Laudato si’. With this article we want to introduce the reader to the reading of Laudato si’, focusing on the ecological question in its breadth of integral ecology, and launching the invitation to an ecological conversion that brings man back to his original relationship with himself, with other men, with Creation and with God.

    Nauka i edukacja w trosce o wspólny dom: EcoOne i Kostka Ziemi

    W encyklice Laudato si’ papież Franciszek wyraża przekonanie, że aby zmierzyć się z kwestią ekologiczną dotyczącą troski o Ziemię, należy połączyć siły, działać wspólnotowo. Wspólnotowe działanie na rzecz ekologii można dostrzec w inicjatywach katolickiego Ruchu Focolare zarówno w zakresie refleksji naukowej, jak i edukacji. Celem badawczym artykułu jest ukazanie dwóch obszarów: pierwszy odnosi się do EcoOne – międzynarodowej sieci naukowców i praktyków podejmujących systematyczną, interdyscyplinarną refleksję na temat ekologii, drugi dotyczy edukacji ekologicznej, a zwłaszcza specyficznego środka dydaktycznego tak zwanej Kostki Ziemi (The Earth Cube). Na podstawie analizy teoretycznych założeń obu inicjatyw oraz ich aplikacji wykazano, że dialog pomiędzy wiarą i nauką, który prowadzi EcoOne, wpisuje się w istotę ekologii integralnej. Dydaktyka Kostki Ziemi budzi w dziecku miłość do tego, co je otacza, dotyka zatem swym przesłaniem wszystkich wymiarów życia człowieka. Opisane formy zaangażowania Ruchu wyznaczają drogę prowadzącą do odkrywania wciąż nowych możliwości twórczego odpowiadania na wyzwania encykliki Laudato si’.
