Pozycja Opis tradycji muzyczno-liturgicznych klasztoru jako próba ocalenia własnego świata w obliczu nieuchronnych przemianWalter-Mazur, Magdalena (Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego Uniwersytetu Opolskiego, 2018)The subject of the article is the customary of the Benedictine nuns of Lviv, i.e. a text of a memorative and normative character concerning the organization of time in the monastery and, in particular, the manner of celebrating the liturgy and paraliturgical rites on all days of the liturgical year. It contains recommendations on the type of musical setting of particular services on a given day, depending on its liturgical rank, and often shows the original details of the tradition of celebrating a given feast in the Benedictine monastery in Lviv. The D4 manuscript of the Lviv Benedictine Archives in Krzeszów was rewritten by the nun Aldegunda Szklińska, and sometimes complited by her comments, in 1780, but it is in main part a copy of “old” customary from 1747 to 1748. The rewriting of “Choir arrangements for all days...” dating from the times of splendour of the monastery in the period when Josephine dissolutions were spreading, the monastery was poor and accepted fewer and fewer novices, and the nuns had to concentrate on running school, it seems to be an attempt to preserve their identity and culture in extremely unfavourable circumstances.
