Pozycja Zur mystagogischen SakramentenpastoralAnderwald, Andrzej (Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego Uniwersytetu Opolskiego, 2018)In the dialogue with people God is constantly taking into account his plan of creation and its realization. So God turns to people by revealing His will in His Word and transmitting the grace “enclosed” in various signs. Under these signs the sacraments play a special role. Christ has entrusted the sacraments to his Church. They are a manifestation of the facta of Jesus during his earthly life. Sacraments – as the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches – are „powers that come forth” from the Body of Christ. They are the actions of the Holy Spirit at work in his Body, the Church. They are “the masterworks of God” in the new and everlasting covenant (no. 1116). The aim of this essay is to answer the question: What should be done so that the preparation for the reception of the sacraments would also introduce the mystagogy of the sacraments? The whole discussion involves firstly presentation of sacraments as manifestation of the facta of Jesus (1); then it points to some misunderstandings in the sacramental pastoral (2); finally, some pastoral postulates will be formulated, which are the result of understanding the sacraments as “masterpieces of God” that lead to a meeting with Christ (3).Pozycja „Służba Boża Kościoła”. Josefa Andreasa Jungmanna szerokie pojmowanie liturgii i jego krytykaWorbs, Marcin (Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego Uniwersytetu Opolskiego, 2018)W pierwszej części artykułu omówiono kontrowersyjne poglądy J.A. Ks. rektor prof. Marian Rechowicz i jego opracowanie z 1961 r.Białkowski, Michał (Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego Uniwersytetu Opolskiego, 2018)Restoring of the permanent diaconate in the Catholic Church was one of the issues extensively discussed during preparations for the Second Vatican Council. In 1961, Rev. Prof. Marian Rechowicz (1910-1983), at that time the rector of the Catholic University of Lublin, prepared a study on this subject. The document “Zagadnienie instytucji diakonatu z punktu widzenia sytuacji i potrzeb Kościoła w Polsce” (The Institution of Diaconate in Terms of the Situation and Needs of the Church in Poland) was published in German one year later. To this date, it is not known to a wider audience; therefore, its most important theses are worth recalling. The author notices many problems that would appear, if this kind of ministry was established in the Church in Poland. He indicated a lack of tradition of the permanent diaconate in Poland, a high rate of priestly vocations, and problems of costs of support (of a deacon and his family), taking into account limited financial capabilities of a parish. However, he recommends implementation of a ministry of deaconesses – nuns, whose tasks would include: teaching of religion, charity activities, distribution of Holy Communion to ill parishioners, and leading of non-liturgical services. Thus, the recommendation of Rev. Prof. Marian Rechowicz significantly deviates from the doctrinal solutions approved by the Second Vatican Council.Pozycja Formacja i posługa ceremoniarzy posługujących w innych niż główne celebracjach Światowych Dni Młodzieży. Polskie doświadczeniaKosmowski, Wojciech (Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego Uniwersytetu Opolskiego, 2018)World Youth Day is an important spiritual event. Pastoral care should be given to the participation in the liturgy, especially the Holy Mass, not only the main celebrations. One should not be limited in the pursuit of correctness, i.e. compliance with liturgical norms. The point is to show that the Eucharist is the source and summit of Christian life, to achieve active, conscious, fruitful and full participation. Particular care should be given to the formation of masters of ceremonies, who care for the beauty and order of celebrations to gain the greatest possible spiritual benefit of the faithful. Such tasks require the coordination and cooperation of those responsible for various aspects of celebrating the Eucharist. In Poland, the regular formation of masters of ceremonies and liturgical animators is conducted by the Light-Life Movement and in dioceses. Polish preparations for WYD included intellectual reflection, retreats for masters of ceremonies and developing various materials. The summary of these experiences may help in the liturgical preparations for subsequent meetings of this type and other celebrations with a large participation of the faithful.Pozycja Zagadnienia jedności i miłosierdzia Bożego w tekstach żydowskiej liturgii paschalnej w porównaniu do liturgii syriackiejRucki, Mirosław (Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego Uniwersytetu Opolskiego, 2018)In the paper, a short history of the Haggadah is presented, and the analysis of the expressions related to the unity and God’s mercy in its text was performed. Hebrew words were compared to the similar ones, present in the Syriac Anaphora of St. James, Lord’s Brother. Both Haggadah and Anaphora texts used in the analysis were published recently, familiar to the today’s Jews and Syriac Christians who belong to the Church of Antioch. The analysis proved that despite of many centuries of separation, many words and expressions are still similar in both liturgies.Pozycja Teologia wniesienia darów w liturgii bizantyjskiej na przykładzie obrzędów Wielkiego WejściaMielniczuk, Kamil (Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego Uniwersytetu Opolskiego, 2018)Eastern liturgy, full of symbolic and allegorical interpretations, is a mystery that wants to go beyond time and enter into eternity. Therefore, looking at the apparently simple rite of the Great Entrance, it is far from being merely a technical offering of material gifts that will later be consecrated, but a deep theological and symbolic rite. The discovery of this beauty requires reading the language of symbols, so this article is intended to bring closer the symbolic and mystical meaning of the Great Entrance, showing the theology of bringing the gifts in the Byzantine liturgy.Pozycja Katolickie tradycje liturgiczne w Anglii w okresie przedreformacyjnym i ich wpływ na „The Order of the Communion” z 1548 r.Grzebyk, Tomasz (Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego Uniwersytetu Opolskiego, 2018)Polish scholars dealing with the history and history of the liturgy have so far ignored or downplayed topics related to the rituals of the Holy Mass and the English liturgical traditions of the day before the Reformation. It seems unfair, especially in the context of the study of the early Reformation in England and the sources on which new liturgical forms were founded, created at the end of the first half of the sixteenth century. The article aims to approximate the customs of the diocese of Salisbury and York and compare them with the new form of Mass prepared by Thomas Cranmer. The analysis of the changes that took place at the time in the liturgy of the English state church indicates their ambiguous character. For many inhabitants of the kingdom, after 1534 (The act of supremacy) the only change was the fact that at the head of the Church, instead of the Pope, the king stood and his name was mentioned in the Canon. Almost unchanged, up to 1548, remained issues related to the liturgy of the Holy Mass (form, ordinances), while medieval Catholic liturgical customs became the ground on which the Order of Communion was created (The Order of the Communion).Pozycja Psalmodia w „Pontificale Plocense” z XII w. jako istotne kryterium identyfikacji proweniencji źródeł liturgiczno-muzycznychWiśniewski, Piotr (Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego Uniwersytetu Opolskiego, 2018)Determining the provenance of the liturgical and musical sources is one of the most difficult issues faced by the medievalists. Among the most important criteria, helpful in the recognition of musical tradition, one can indicate the identification of psalmodic formulas, which are present both in the form of psalm intonations and – in particular – in the form of psalm differentiations. These issues, present in Pontificale Plocense from the 12th century, are addressed in the presented article. Comparison of the cheironomic notation of intonations and psalm differentiations with the Vatican edition allows us to read their melodic version and assign them to one of the eight psalm tones. Moreover, it confirms the compatibility of particular psalm tones with the tones of antiphons. The research indicates that the Płock manuscript probably represents a diocesan tradition.Pozycja Kult św. Cecylii w muzyce angielskiej XVII wieku na przykładzie „Welcome to all the pleasures” Henry’ego PurcellaWolska, Magdalena (Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego Uniwersytetu Opolskiego, 2018)An article describes traditional celebration on 22nd of November as a solemnity of St. Cecilia, patroness of choristers, luthiers, organists, musical ensembles and sacred music. In 17th century – Restoration period in England – this cult took on a particularly elaborate and solemn form due to the Musical Society of London and collaboration of great composer Henry Purcell. He was twenty-four years old at the time, and already established as a composer at the court of Charles II. Welcome to all the pleasures ode for strings, voices and ground bass, with words by Christopher Fishburn, was commissioned by The Musical Society of London. After an expressive opening, an ode becomes a heartfelt celebration of the ‘universal harmony’ which blessed Cecilia bestows. This piece of music reveals variety of rhetorical figures and numerous of affects, which analysis attempt is undertaken in third part of current publication. It is an example of ode strongly sets in English musical tradition, heralding Henry Purcell’s evolution of the composers workshop, which is significantly visible in his vocal and instrumental achievements. An article discuses also a genre of an ode as a musical-literary form, which is derived from antiquity period and its process of adaptation on the base of English court music. Especially in light of Henry Purcell’s transformation of composing language context.Pozycja Opis tradycji muzyczno-liturgicznych klasztoru jako próba ocalenia własnego świata w obliczu nieuchronnych przemianWalter-Mazur, Magdalena (Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego Uniwersytetu Opolskiego, 2018)The subject of the article is the customary of the Benedictine nuns of Lviv, i.e. a text of a memorative and normative character concerning the organization of time in the monastery and, in particular, the manner of celebrating the liturgy and paraliturgical rites on all days of the liturgical year. It contains recommendations on the type of musical setting of particular services on a given day, depending on its liturgical rank, and often shows the original details of the tradition of celebrating a given feast in the Benedictine monastery in Lviv. The D4 manuscript of the Lviv Benedictine Archives in Krzeszów was rewritten by the nun Aldegunda Szklińska, and sometimes complited by her comments, in 1780, but it is in main part a copy of “old” customary from 1747 to 1748. The rewriting of “Choir arrangements for all days...” dating from the times of splendour of the monastery in the period when Josephine dissolutions were spreading, the monastery was poor and accepted fewer and fewer novices, and the nuns had to concentrate on running school, it seems to be an attempt to preserve their identity and culture in extremely unfavourable circumstances.Pozycja Przestrzenna triada saeculumNadrowski, Henryk (Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego Uniwersytetu Opolskiego, 2018)Saeculum includes both profanum and sacrum – independent realities which simultaneously depend on and in some ways complement each other. This temporality also includes spaces, horizons and sacred centres which permeate one another. In each of them, we discover the surrounding reality, nature, ecosystem as well as various manifestations of human creativity and artistry. Awareness, responsibility and setting boundaries to this exploration are crucial not to disturb the harmony, order, aesthetics and the integral sense of the universe.Pozycja Ołtarz Zmarłych w baptysterium bazyliki mniejszej pw. św. Jakuba St. Apostoła i św. Agnieszki w Nysie jako interesujący zabytek śląskiej sztuki sakralnejSpielvogel, Izabela; Dziewior, Kamila (Redakcja Wydawnictw Wydziału Teologicznego Uniwersytetu Opolskiego, 2018)The Altar of the Dead in the baptistery of St. Jacob church in Nysa is a rare art monument with the presentation of Purgatory Souls. The article is an attempt to bring the object closer through a description, finding iconographic sources and ideological analysis of the work. The theme of Purgatory has found its place in the sacred art after the Council of Trent, and many iconographic themes have often been combined in his performances. The Altar of the Dead in Nysa is thus a work with many elements that together form a coherent, ideological whole. From these numerous elements of the altar, the central picture stands out, which is its compositional and ideological keystone. The painting contains three important issues for the Catholic faith: crucifixion, holy mass, and purgatory. In the Nysa altar, the depiction of purgatory plays a key role, because the work is dedicated to the souls of the dead that died during the war, and what goes with it is also to save these souls from purgatory through prayer. The altar from the baptistery of the church of St. Jacob is a valuable example of a seventeenth-century work of art in Silesia, presenting the artistic, cultural and moral values of the era and surroundings of Silesian burghers at that time.Pozycja Liturgia paradygmatem ekumenicznej duchowości.
