Pozycja Abraham J. Malherbe, The Letters to the Thessalonians (AB 32B), New York: Doubleday 2000, ss. XX + 508 (z indeksami).Rakocy, Waldemar (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2004)Pozycja „Błogosławieni...” – etyczne wymogi ośmiu błogosławieństw (Mt 5, 3-12)Paciorek, Antoni (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2004)First the author discusses the problems connected with the literary layer of the blessings (I), then the meaning of particular verses (II), and finally some theological ideas of the pericope, as well as concluding remarks (III). Explaining the first blessing the author thinks that xw nvcOpaxt should be understood as dat. Instrumentalis (“with spirit”) and at the same time relationis (“in spirit”). The second blessing refers to those who are sad because Christ and God seem to be “the great absentees” from the modem world. Gentle ones are those who are not indignant about adversities that life brings and can keep patient. To hunger and thirst for righteousness means to desire a life that is accordant with the Father’s will. Coming to somebody’s aid and forgiving is a characteristic of merciful people; and showing mercy to other people is a manifestation of mercy actually received from God. Blessing people who are pure in heart concerns people in whom there is no falsehood or spite, people who look for the good and try to be honest towards God and their neighbors. “Peacemakers” are those who act for establishing conditions in which everybody may develop according to G od’s plan. People who suffer for the sake of righteousness are the ones who are persecuted because of their desire to lead their lives according to God’s will.Pozycja Historia oddziaływania tekstu (Wirkungsgeschichte) a studium Nowego TestamentuSzymik, Stefan (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2004)The author of the article sheds light on the most important aspects of the approach to the study of the biblical texts based on tradition, that is the history of the influence of the text – Wirkungsgeschichte. In the first part he shows the philosophical foundations (H-G. Gadamer) and the historical-theological origin of the method that is one more response to the shortcomings of historical-critical studies. In the next point various definitions and formulations of Wirkungsgeschichte are discussed that can be encountered in academic publications, especially written by German exegetes. The article is concluded with a critical evaluation of the approach from the point of view of Catholic hermeneutics and the theological-dogmatic principles formulated in the documents of the Catholic Church (cf. Dei Verbum 12).Pozycja Kronika Instytutu Nauk Biblijnych KUL za rok akademicki 2002/2003Kiejza, Andrzej (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2004)Pozycja Ks. Mt 22, 34-40; Łk 10, 25-28)Fuchs, Albert (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2004)On the example of the pericope about the greatest commandment (Mark 12, 28-34; Matt 22, 34-40; Luke 10, 25-28) the author tries to elucidate the “minor agreements” between the Gospels according to St Matthew and St Mark as opposed to St Mark and draw the consequences of this fact for the two sources hypothesis (Mark and Q). According to the author, simply repeating the hypothesis of two sources is a great mistake; on the contrary, existence should be accepted of the so-called deutero-Mark who re-wrote the text of St Mark’s Gospel in the changed historical situation after the year 70. This text by deutero-Mark was next used by Matt / Luke and is responsible for the presence of the so-called “minor agreements” between these two Gospels.Pozycja Stefan Szymik MSF, Problem polemiki antyepikurejskiej w pismach Nowego Testamentu, Lublin: Wydawnictwo KUL 2003, ss. 413.Poniży, Bogdan (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2004)Pozycja „Tak samo czynili prorokom ich ojcowie” (Łk 6, 23). Odrzucenie proroków w Trzeciej Ewangelii w perspektywie błogosławieństwMielcarek, Krzysztof (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2004)Jesus’ beatitudes in the third Gospel form a literary unity with woes directed to those, who do not experience hardships in this world. The closing phrase in both sections is almost identical and it has to do with the prophets. Lk 6, 23b closes the first section persuading readers that contrary to all false prophets, all the prophets sent by God did experience persecutions and hatred. The paper approaches the issue posing a question in what way such a phrase could possibly encourage Christians to live according to Jesus’ beatitudes. After a short sketch of traditions about prophets derived by Luke from Q (I), some specifically Lukan texts are dealt with (II). Finally, the answer is proposed: It is necessary to accept God’s grace in the midst of difficulties experienced by all humans, for the alternative is too tragic to be chosen. Those who reject Jesus and His beatitudes in order to avoid hardships in their earthly existence will have to share the future of false prophets (Lk 13, 28).Pozycja Teologia perykopy Rdz 49, 3-17. 19-27Szwarc, Urszula (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2004)The purpose of the essay is to study the theological meaning of the verses Gen. 49, 3-17. 19-27. The conducted research shows that they contain lively, numbered among the crucial ones, historio-salutary ideas, including the Messianic ones. Their leading theological message, seen in its general outline by looking at it through the closest literary context of the verses (I), finds its detailed meaning, which is deepened, when one looks into its structure (II), and finally in its content (III). It can be formulated as follows: – owing to God’s Providence the once separate tribal societies unified into a monolithic community of the people of Jhwh, however, keeping its individuality, – the individuality is expressed in, among others, each member of Israel having a mission to accomplish, a mission given to him by God himself; – Juda’s vocation appears exceptional, when viewed against other ones, as it remains in direct relation with realizing God's plan of salvation; – the aim of the plan is removing the sin and its results as well as introducing universal peace and happiness.Pozycja Tytus krewnym Łukasza?Rakocy, Waldemar (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2004)The author verifies Ramsay and Souter’s suggestion – put forward more than a hundred years ago – that Luke and Titus, Paul’s collaborators, were brothers. They came to this conclusion because there is no mention of Titus in the Acts. To verify the proposition the author conducts a study of Titus’ historical position in Paul’s mission and then of his significance as compared to that of the apostle’s other associates in the Acts. The conclusion may be reached that making no mention of Titus in the Acts is not accidental. The only reason for this that can be justified is the same one that made Luke, the author of the Acts, pass in silence over his own person. On this basis we find that the reason of not mentioning Titus is in the same relation to the work as to its author, that is in the close relation between Paul’s two collaborators. Ramsay and Souter’s specific suggestion that Titus was Luke’s brother does not find confirmation, but it points to the direction in which to look for a solution to the problem, that is to a certain relationship between them.Pozycja Zachęta do mężnego wyznania Chrystusa w ujęciu św.
