    The Internet, besides its numerous advantages, which include efficient, exceptionally broad communication, also carries various threats. They include: the danger of meeting offensive, false or corrupting contents, as well as coming into contact with dangerous people and the threat of addictions. These facts prompt undertaking proper prophylactic action. The Catholic Church also encourages it. The Church, appreciating the Internet as a medium, also formulates the rules of its ethical use.

    The problem studied in the paper is contained in the question: What is the level of selfesteem and the evaluation of the wife made by men addicted to alcohol? In order to answer the question 30 men addicted to alcohol were examined. All of them were married and their marriages were stable; on average they were married for 19,5 years. The average time of being addicted to alcohol indicated by the subjects was 14,7 years. In the study Gough and Heilbrun’s ACL (Adjective Check List) was used; the subjects were asked to choose the adjectives and apply them in sentences beginning with: “I am” and “My wife is” The indices of evaluation were calculated according to the following formula: s = Fav/Unfav times correlation coefficients (Pearson’s r) between the evaluation indices and the scales of the ACL test. The results of the study may be used in psychotherapy of married couples with the alcohol problem.

    In counteracting juvenile delinquency a high efficiency of coeval prophylactic is clearly seen, which results from the fact that learning new behaviors is connected with a network of social influences. In the case of young people the group of coevals is the system that has the greatest influence on changes in one’s behavior. The article presents the specificity of prophylactic coeval influences, and then the application of coeval prophylactic in the Integrated System of Security Program at the Catholic University of Lublin, and within the system a diagnosis is presented of the students’ security and the current forms of actions. In the final part of the article an attempt is made to create standards of security and using coeval prophylactic within the National Network of Universities Free from Addictions to Drugs.
