Pozycja Ks. Franciszek Greniuk. Katolicka teologia moralna w poszukiwaniu własnej tożsamości. Lublin: RW KUL 1993 ss. 220.Nagórny, Janusz (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 1995)Pozycja Teologiczne podstawy moralności chrześcijańskiej w ujęciu encykliki „Veritatis splendor”Wróbel, Józef (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 1995)A close analysis of the encyclical Veritatis Splendor leads us to a conclusion that though it deals with difficult issues of the Church, yet not in isolation from the painful problems of the contemporary world. This document is imbedded in other pronouncement of John Paul II and may be read out as an expression of his concern about the lot of the man and the world, which more and more stubbornly gets stuck in a blind alley of the civilizational crisis threatening with a universal catastrophe. At the foundations of mankind’s being at a loss there lies a devaluation of ethical values deepened by the crisis of faith. In this context John Paul II "raises his hand" to the world in distress. In his teaching he is governed not so much by his personal conviction as by the historically founded experience based on the truth which is the Person of Jesus Christ, and which is brought near to man by the Holy Spirit acting in the Church and through the Church. Thus if this same Church seeks proper expressions received in the deposit of an ideal and it is this ideal that she wants to teach and she wants to lead man to it. Man finds in Christ this truth which is capable of freeing him.
