The article presents the analysis of the term τò εὐαγγέλιον in Corpus Paulinum against the background of its use in the Greco-Roman world and the New Testament. Having examined the apostle’s texts it must be stated that he does not preach “his own” gospel. Paul highlights that “his” gospel belongs to both God (τοῦ Θεοῦ) and Christ (τοῦ Χριστοῦ). Just as Christ is indivisible, so the gospel He preaches is one (see 1 Cor 1:13). It is the Resurrected Lord of the Universe who is in the centre of the Paul’s kerygma. He Himself is the subject and the object of the Gospel: the One who preaches but also the One who is preached. No other word defines the works and theology of Paul as an apostle so accurately as the noun τò εὐαγγέλιον.
