The paper presents the role of religious art in the parish community life and recognizes its significance in faith transmission. The beauty of art is to point to the eternal Beauty, emphasise the sacral dimension of the place of worship and be a culture forming factor. The need for formation through art, especially in an aesthetic sense, has also been shown.
