W odniesieniu do świata wynika z tego deizm albo panteizm. Deizm głosi absolutną odrębność – brak jakiejkolwiek relacji, panteizm całkowite zmieszanie – różnorodność jest pozorna, czysto formalna. Wiara biblijna przyjmuje akt stwórczy, a tym samym istnienie relacji z zachowaniem autonomii. Ujęcie chrześcijańskie wprowadza personalną troistość wewnątrz substancji Boga oraz istnienie unii hipostatycznej z substancjami stworzonymi: duchową i materialną. Substancja Boga jest trynitarna i ma w sobie coś, co jest fundamentem aktu stwórczego oraz aktu wcielenia, które zostaje dopełnione zmartwychwstaniem.
