Pozycja Zjednoczony Kościół Metodystyczny – pomiędzy etycznym konserwatyzmem a liberalizmemOrłowski, Mariusz (Wydawnictwo Pallottinum, 2016)W artykule przedstawiono oficjalne nauczanie Zjednoczonego Kościoła Metodystycznego na temat budzących kontrowersje zagadnień bioetycznych w ujęciu Księgi Dyscypliny – która jest księgą prawa i ustroju ww. wspólnoty eklezjalnej – takich jak: aborcja, eutanazja i wspomagane samobójstwo, klonowanie, terapia genowa, eugenika czy genetycznie modyfikowana żywność. Zaprezentowanie stosunku Zjednoczonego Kościoła Metodystycznego do ww. kontrowersyjnych zagadnień bioetycznych poprzedzono przedstawieniem postaci ks. Jana Wesleya – twórcy metodyzmu oraz omówieniem zawartości Księgi Dyscypliny, której integralną częścią są m.in. opracowane przez J. Wesleya Zasady Ogólne i wyrosłe z nich Zasady Socjalne.
