In the Revelation of Sl John, the term anthropos has a theological meaning. The „men" referred to in the book are the „inhabitants of the earth”, ascribed to the old world and sharing its eschatological destiny – until the final destruction. The new world described in Revelation 21 is also the world of new men, for whom God becomes the true Emmanuel.
