Pozycja Nowe ujęcie myśli Jana Pawła II o człowieku stworzonym na obraz BożyKaczmarek, Paweł (Wyższe Seminarium Duchowne Zakonu Świętego Pawła Pierwszego Pustelnika, 2016)This article is part of a master’s thesis entitled Man as the image of God the foundation of human dignity in the teachings of John Paul II written in an academic seminary on the topic of Catholic social teaching and defended in 2014 at the Major Seminary of the Pauline Order. This is an attempt at a new approach to the teaching of John Paul II about man. According to this anthropology, man is seen as a creature in the image of God ‒ the Holy Trinity. In addition, the essay refers to theology of the body and human sexuality. These topics are developed more deeply in the context of the truth about human dignity. The article consists of the following topics: 1. Man created in the image of God ‒ the Holy Trinity; 2. The new theology of the body in the official teaching of the Church; 3. References to human dignity. In conclusion, the author states that Pope John Paul II consistently emphasized the importance of man as an image of God. In this importance, he saw the foundation of human dignity. From this perspective, he emphasized the integrity of the body and soul, and in the two genders of humans, he saw a moment of realization of the image of the Union of People ‒ the Holy Trinity.
