Pozycja Turing, Searle i Penrose. Trzej klasycy badań nad sztuczną inteligencjąKloch, Józef (Wydział Teologiczny w Tarnowie, 2002)There are three people who cut a figure in the theory of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and these are Turing, Searle and Penrose. They can be safely called the classical scholars in the study of AI. Alan Turing was the first person investigating artificial intelligence and proposed a test, which was to prove the intelligent behaviour of a machine. John Searle declared for only possibility of simulating and not duplicating a human mind action. Roger Penrose thinks that conscious actions of human mind are beyond any calculability. Roger Penrose’s works draw our attention to... the quantum phenomena in the brain. The mathematician of the Oxford University suspects that the consciousness phenomenon comes into being at this very level. However it is not enough to employ quantum mechanics to understand consciousness, in order to comprehend human mind, it is necessary to find a new – not connected with Aristotelian – logic.
