Pozycja Dobro wspólne jako wyzwanie dla chrześcijańskiej pedagogii społecznejMazur, Jan (Wyższe Seminarium Duchowne Zakonu Świętego Pawła Pierwszego Pustelnika, 2014)The present text is a revised version of an article, Common good, which has been prepared for the purpose of the Encyclopedia of pedagogical axiology compiled by the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. The most complete concept of the common good can be (bund in Catholic social teaching. According to this teaching, the common good is (should be) the real purpose of man, society and state. It is a cause of existence and a cause of establishment of each society. It is a fundamental factor in social life. Il motivates social actions of people forming a community. In particular, it motivates politics, which in the ethical sense is defined as a rational concern for the common good. A proper education, which can stimulate a genuine concern for the common good, is necessary. What is needed is an education in the spirit of respect for the common good, which assumes the adoption of a certain social pedagogy. Christianity, with its institutions, has the most opportunities in this regard, because it has an intellectually clear and internally consistent axiological system, which has been verified over the centuries.
