Pozycja Współzależności między obrazem siebie i rodziców u kobiet z anoreksjąPawłowska, Beata; Chuchra, Maria M. (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2004)In the etiology of nourishment disturbances a significant role is played by family relations. The relations significantly influence the formation of the concept of particular family members. The aim of the article is to investigate the relations between the self-concept and the concept of their mothers and fathers in female anorexics. Twenty subjects were studied and the tool was the Adjective Check List in the version ‘I am’, ‘my mother is’, ‘my father is’ and correlation coefficients between the concepts of particular people were calculated. On the basis of the obtained results the following conclusions were drawn: 1. Between the self-concept and the concept of the mother there are relations in such features as: self-confidence, self-control, resolution, submission and the need of co-operation with others. 2. Between the self-concept and the concept of the father in women with anorexia nervosa the correlations concern the need to understand one’s own and other people’s motives of behavior, self-confidence, creativity, self-discipline, autonomy, responsibility and ability to cope in difficult situations. 3. Between the concept of the mother and father in the patients’ perception there are correlations in the level of acceptance, ability to adjust to the group, striving after autonomy, looking for contacts with the opposite sex, self-discipline, ambition and resolution as well as protectiveness, tolerance and respect with relation to other people.
