Good conscience (sineidesis) is a logical development of Paul’s teaching on justification. Man is endowed with a natural ability to know God which testifies our dignity and free will. Event of the Passion of Christ’s resurrection has a clear anthropological desirability (‘for us’, ‘for the sinners’). Jesus introduces a new element to the story: ‘the fullness of time’ (Gal 4,4).
