Pozycja Chrystologia Romana Rogowskiego w kontekście mistykiFerdek, Bogdan (Katolicki Uniwersytet Lubelski Jana Pawła II & Towarzystwo Teologów Dogmatyków, 2024)Typically, mysticism is separated from dogma. Dogma gives theoretical knowledge, while mysticism gives experience of the reality about which the dogma speaks. Roman Rogowski tries to connect these two separate ways of talking about reality. On the basis of the event from above on Mount Tabor Rogowski lays the foundations for mystical Christology. For the three Apostles: Peter, James and John, Mount Tabor was an experience of Christological dogma: “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God” (Mt 16:16). This experience gave the Apostles an experimental knowledge of Christ. Rogowski’s mystical Christology concretizes the thesis of the Orthodox theologian Vladimir Nikolaievich Lossky: there is no Christology without mysticism, and mysticism is the pinnacle of Christology. From the formal side, Rogowski’s mystical Christology does not take the form of a theological treatise in the strict sense. It is close to narrative theology, which is a collection of stories about topics related to faith. Rogowski not only laid the foundations for mystical Christology based on the historical saving significance of mountains, but also showed the importance of mountains for man as a homo viator. For Rogowski, a man who is the image of God wanders around the mountains that God sustains in existence. The mountains are the frame or screen of God revealing himself, because in the act of creation by the One who is Mystery, they received something of His mystery. This mystery of the mountains suggests to the mind the existence of God, and the fear and fascination caused by the mountains make one feel God. This mountain mysticism, however, is only a foreground of the mysticism that the three Apostles: Peter, James and John, experienced on Mount Tabor.Pozycja Defektów interpretacyjnych jednak brak? Próba obrony własnego stanowiska w obliczu jego zakwestionowania w pracy naukowej Księdza Profesora Janusza Królikowskiego. Część pierwszaMielnik, Dawid (Katolicki Uniwersytet Lubelski Jana Pawła II & Towarzystwo Teologów Dogmatyków, 2024)The purpose of this study is an attempt to polemicize against an article by Father Professor Janusz Królikowski published in the scientific journal “Teologia w Polsce”. In this study, the author attempts to defend himself against the accusations made against him in the polemical article by directly addressing them. The article is divided into three parts. First, the main methodological assumptions of the study are introduced. Then a polemic against the non-merits-related arguments was undertaken, and in the third part – against the merits-related arguments. After the analyses, the author maintained his contested position.Pozycja Die Sakramentalien im AllgemeinenKahle, Michael (Katolicki Uniwersytet Lubelski Jana Pawła II & Towarzystwo Teologów Dogmatyków, 2024)This article on “Sacramentals in general” begins with the distinction between sacraments and sacramentals as set out in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Chapter II follows with a description of the historical development of the term “sacramentals” and how it has been understood. The first references to the term, which can be found in Hugh of St Victor, up to Thomas Aquinas are presented. There follows a list of the definitions developed by various theologians on the eve of the promulgation of the Codex Iuris Canonici in 1917. Then there is a treatment of the provisions on sacramentals which were introduced into canon law under Pope Benedict XV. Particular attention is paid to the work carried out before and during the Second Vatican Council, before continuing with an account of the magisterial treatment of sacramentals up to the pontificate of Pope John Paul II. Chapter III contains a systematic treatment of the sacramentals. Beginning with the canonical definition of sacramentals, it continues with a description of their variety and the question of their institution. Then the topics of efficacy and modes of action as well as the question of the dispensers and recipients of sacramentals are dealt with. A final chapter poses three central questions on the topic of sacramentals that are intended to stimulate further theological and pastoral reflection.Pozycja Halina Irena Szumił, Magister veritatis et caritatis. It particularly emphasizes the need for an integrated understanding of these two realities. Its condition is both an appropriate ecclesiology, which sees the authority in the Church in the service of love, as well as an appropriate anthropology, which shows the principles of implementing cooperation between man and grace. Above all, however, it is about seeing Church law and charisma from a theological and historical point of view as realities that, at their starting point, constitute a dynamic unity.Pozycja L’inabitazione della Trinità: una verità dimenticata? Studio dogmatico-spirituale-pastoraleKowalczyk, Dariusz (Katolicki Uniwersytet Lubelski Jana Pawła II & Towarzystwo Teologów Dogmatyków, 2024)Not many Catholic doctrines have as many scriptural references to them as the doctrine of Trinitarian indwelling. Despite this, it is not a frequent theme in theological reflection and preaching today. In this situation, not only does the New Testament invite us to take up the mystery of indwelling, but so do the precious texts of the Magisterium of the Church (Divinum illud munus of Leo XIII, Mystici Corporis Christi of 34 Pius XII) and the numerous testimonies of saints (e.g., Teresa of Avila, John of the Cross, Elizabeth of the Trinity, Faustina Kowalska), for whom the very presence of God in their hearts was the foundation of all other spiritual experiences. Indwelling is not just a beautiful truth next to many others. In fact, it can offer a guiding thread for reflection on all matters of theology and preaching. One of the problems hindering a theological, spiritual and pastoral renewal of the mystery of indwelling lies in an idealized perception. This idealization leads the faithful to believe that it does not pertain to them because they do not consider themselves holy. At this point the theme of the kenosis of the Holy Spirit could be developed. It helps us to perceive God’s loving presence even in the weak and sinful human beings. It is true that the concept of indwelling concerns persons who find themselves in the state of sanctifying grace (Spiritus inhabitans), but – first – this state does not mean full perfection, and – second – the Spirit (Spiritus movens) also draws near to great sinners in order to bring them back to grace.Pozycja O języku chrystologii w pismach ks. Romana RogowskiegoCichocki, Eryk (Katolicki Uniwersytet Lubelski Jana Pawła II & Towarzystwo Teologów Dogmatyków, 2024)This paper is devoted to the language of Fr Roman Rogowski’s Christology and focuses on an analysis of the means by which R. Rogowski depicts Jesus Christ in his texts. The aim of the study is to show the Cosmic Christ as the leading Christological creation, as well as to expose the linguistic tendencies in speaking about Christ, especially to show the significance of romantic poetics and mystical poetics present in R. Rogowski’s works. The analysis carried out is panoramic and reveals general linguistic and theological tendencies, as the research undertaken has not been the subject of systematic study so far.Pozycja The Notion of the Human Person According to the Encyclical “Humanae vitae”Ago, Tesfaye Gebremichael (Katolicki Uniwersytet Lubelski Jana Pawła II & Towarzystwo Teologów Dogmatyków, 2024)This article explores the notion of the human person according to the 1968 encyclical Humanae Vitae, promulgated by Pope Paul VI, highlighting the need to understand human life and looks at human growth and development, identifying the modern challenges of human life and how such challenges threatened to reorder the role of women and the value of children within society.Pozycja War in the Bible and the Qur’an. A Comparative StudyKlejnowski-Różycki, Dariusz; Sękowski, Piotr (Katolicki Uniwersytet Lubelski Jana Pawła II & Towarzystwo Teologów Dogmatyków, 2024)The “founding texts” of each civilization shape the meaning of important issues for the lives of individuals and entire human communities. Such texts include the “holy books” of the Old and New Testaments and the Qur’an, called the “three laws” or “rules of life”. Each of these “rules of life” outlines a certain idea of war, which is one of the basic human experiences. A short comparative study shows the different emphases. The Old Testament shows Israel’s historical wars in which God becomes involved. The New Testament does not deal with the issue of war at all in the military sense, but shifts the emphasis to spiritual warfare. The Quran devotes a lot of space to war, especially religious war, without referring to the specific history of the nation, but points to the rules that a devout Muslim should follow during a conflict, including armed conflict.Pozycja „Welt auf der Kippeˮ – Widerspiegelungen der Brüche des 20. und 21. Jahrhunderts in Peter Seewalds Biografie „Benedikt XVI. Ein LebenˮZaremba, Martyna (Katolicki Uniwersytet Lubelski Jana Pawła II & Towarzystwo Teologów Dogmatyków, 2024)Joseph Ratzinger/Benedict XV was not only an outstanding theologian, but also a keen observer, diagnostician and prognosticator of time. His thinking looked far ahead, prophetically looked into the future and predicted the devastating consequences of human actions that are being realized today, e.g. the rapidly progressing secularization and the accompanying decline in the number of young people in the Church. Both as a moderate modernist and a convinced conservative, he sensed the approaching collapse or self-destruction of humanity living without God. In his opinion, the world is on the brink of an abyss. That is why Benedict XVI, in his countless speeches and writings, has repeatedly called on humanity to take care of the environment, so that the earth, which the Creator has entrusted to man as a responsible mission, can also be passed on to other generations.
