Komunikat z badańDworakowska, Joanna (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2016)For the full and harmonious development of their personality children should grow up in a family environment in an atmosphere of happiness, love and understanding. In many families, children are not provided with fundamental rights and fulfillment of their needs: safety, love, acceptance, and respect. Their sense of dignity collapses, they are prohibited to reveal emotions and thoughts. All this triggers a sense of shame, anger and fear, which are often passed on to the child's functioning in different environments. People take these actions because of individual reasons or taking into account social and professional role the one performs. It is made by interpersonal interaction or within the frames of particular institiution. The latter is meant by arranged actions. The aim of this article is to present another dimension of giving help by means of institutions. The presence of symbolic violence related to power is present in the dimension. According to Michel Foucault “the one who was put within the range of perception and realises that accepts the limits enforced on them by the power”1 . As the author continues everybody is placed in the field of the power, despite the fact one does not always realise that. Our deliberations, related to the presence of symbolic violence and its meaning in the process of helping are based on the term of the violence Pierre Bourdieu. The deliberations refer to the way psychological and pedagogic counselling centres work. The violence is the part of secret scheme of the institution The authors try to uncover and reveal with the view to make people think and realise its existence. The hidden dimension embraces what is not visible but palpable, what is meant straightaway but has its place in the course of actions made by assisting team and institutions, what is included in the formal “between” and hidden actions and what is not realised by people who use the services of psychological and pedagogical cunselling centres.Pozycja Resocjalizacja poprzez edukacjęJęczeń, Jarosław (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2016)The main issue related to social rehabilitation is its effectiveness. Is it possible to bridge a gulf what between a prisoner in custody those people who enjoy freedom? Are they alike? Or are they so very much different that social rehabilitation is ineffective? There is a whole array of questions and answers. Most opinions hold it, that social rehabilitation is not possible. The article’s author suggests that a positive response to these questions will only be possible when we reach for the concept of man and discover the truth that inmates and people outside corrective institutions are exactly the same man. Thus our elementary task is to discover the internal truth about the excluded as well as to help the excluded discover the same truth. This discovery is attained through learning, i.e. education.Pozycja Rola poradnictwa w pomnażaniu kapitału ludzkiego i społecznegoGagacka, Maria (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2016)The consequence of the dynamically ongoing changes is a growing area of uncertainty and social risks. Inability to cope with the permanently occurring uncertainty on the one hand leads to several negative consequences, such as a sense of alienation, meaninglessness, or helplessness, on the other hand – increases the need for development powers to plan their career path or are coping with new challenges. The demand for counselling is not only in individuals who want to quickly and effectively develop his own career, but also in individuals that fall out of the mainstream, and are not able to function in the realities of today's labour markets or to fill professional and family roles. The paper will be presented to analyze the role of guidance, resulting from the implementation of modern paradigms of social policy (anticipatory, investment, activating), and biographical and emancipation counselling models in the multiplication of human and social capital.Pozycja Systemy kształcenia w zakresie kwalifikacji i kompetencji pracowników socjalnych w wybranych państwach europejskichKoperek, Jerzy (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2016)Training of social workers, based on national and EU standards of education, aims to acquire by them the professional qualifications and competencies. An analysis of the principles of sharing of psychological tests was attempted. The Workgroup of Psychological Tests of The Polish Psychological Association (Pracownia Testów Psychologicznych Polskiego Towarzystwa Psychologicznego) makes psychological tools available in 4 cathegories, each of which including various psychological tests. Issue of concern is the platform “Epsilon”, which has been recently introduced by The Workgroup of Psychological Tests, a training program, which was supposed to endorse the basics of psychometry, or the possibility to access the psychological test from category “only for psychologists”, available to people with a “doctor of psychology” degree. It is needed to discuss the subject of the use of psychological tests by persons without adequate psychological education. Próba rozstrzygnięcia problemów definicyjnychZadroga, Adam (Wydawnictwo Towarzystwa Naukowego Katolickiego Uniwersytetu Lubelskiego, 2016)In the last 30-40 years there has been increased interest in research on socio-economic changes. Thus, there has been a shift away from measuring only the material dimension of development. Researchers started use categories such as: consumption, standard of living, level of living, economic welfare, wealth, living conditions, quality of life, a way of life, lifestyle, etc. The problem that we faced in a quite extensive literature is the lack of application of a uniform terminology. Attempts to define these categories should be regarded as not fully satisfactory because they do not allow the adoption of clear solutions. We can only point out some proposals that include many significant features conducive to study the social dimension of economic transition. This article attempts to resolve problems of definition of three basic categories related to the study of socioeconomic changes, which are: conditions of life, standard of living and quality of life.Pozycja Współpraca międzynarodowa Instytutu Nauk o Rodzinie i Pracy Socjalnej KUL z Instytutem Psychologii im.
