Pozycja Lay Faithful Involvement in the Contemporary Church – The Polish ContextZellma, Anna (Wydawnictwo Diecezjalne Adalbertinum, 2024)The involvement of the lay faithful in the community of the Church is at the center of theological reflection after the Second Vatican Council. It is among the key issues in practical theology in Poland. Theoretical indications are often not translated into pastoral practice. In fact, it is possible to notice the posed actions and activities related to the involvement of the lay faithful in the community of the Church. Hence, changes in pastoral practice are needed. The analyses undertaken in this article are a voice in the discussion. They show the most important areas of involvement of the lay faithful of the Church in Poland, taking into account the current social and religious situation. First, the status of the lay faithful in the Church and the basic tasks they have to perform in the Church are described. In this context, the basic planes of involvement of the lay faithful in the Church in Poland were presented. This made it possible to show the translation of the guidelines enshrined in the documents of the Church and in the teaching of the Popes into pastoral practice in Poland. To enrich the analyses, reference was made to good practices that illustrate the involvement of lay faithful in pastoral, evangelization, administrative, cultural, and social activities. The need for in-depth research and the development of new pastoral strategies was also pointed out. It was considered important to change the mentality of the hierarchy (bishops) and priests) and to raise the level of awareness of the lay faithful and motivate them to be more active in the community of the Church.Pozycja States in the Mystical Body of Christ based on John Torquemadaʼs “Summa de Ecclesia”Pokrywiński, Rafał (Wydawnictwo Diecezjalne Adalbertinum, 2024)The article analyses John Torquemadaʼs doctrine as expressed in the Summa de Ecclesia concerning the relationship between laity and clergy in the Church. In it, there is no opposition between the two groups thanks to the preservation of the classical corporate conception of the Church. Torquemada enriches it with developed theological and spiritual elements in which Christ as head of the Church plays an important role, which is crucial for unity among the members themselves. Particularly original and interesting is this theologianʼs attempt to point out groups of believers in symbolic relation to indicated members of the human body, such as eyes, ears, legs, etc. On the basis of these remarks, the states of the Church, the offices and ranks are analysed, and everything will be crowned with a teaching on authority in the Church.Pozycja Ks. Utworzone wówczas województwo elbląskie było objęte zasięgiem działania trzech diecezji: chełmińskiej, gdańskiej i warmińskiej. Najistotniejsze decyzje, dotyczące organizacji nowotworzonego województwa zapadły w Gdańsku. Dyrektorem Wydziału do Spraw Wyznań w Elblągu został pracownik gdańskiej administracji wyznaniowej. Nie dostrzegał on na podległym sobie terenie potrzeb w zakresie budownictwa kościelnego. Potwierdzeniem jego tezy o braku problemu w tym zakresie miało być nieangażowanie się wiernych w uzyskanie zgód na inwestycje. Już w pierwszych miesiącach 1976 r. władzom udało się utworzyć wojewódzki oddział Zrzeszenia Katolików Caritas oraz przydzielić pomieszczenia na biuro. Zamiarem publikacji jest ukazanie ich roli w procesie wychowania w wierze. Podjęte rozważania mają charakter interdyscyplinarny. Wpisując się w problematykę nauk o rodzinie, refleksja łączy w sobie ujęcia pedagogiczne oraz teologiczne. Kwestie związane z mistagogią sakramentu spowiedzi zostały podjęte przez polskich biskupów we Wskazaniach Konferencji Episkopatu Polski dotyczących przygotowania do przyjęcia sakramentu bierzmowania opublikowanych w 2017 roku. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie rekomendacji merytorycznych, metodologicznych i organizacyjnych dotyczących mistagogii sakramentu spowiedzi w procesie formacji bierzmowanych oraz pokazanie, w jaki sposób rekomendacje te zostały przyjęte w materiałach formacyjnych Nowe Życie. Artykuł podzielony jest na trzy części. W pierwszej części scharakteryzowano kryzys w praktyce pokuty sakramentalnej wśród młodzieży oraz wskazano czynniki przyczyniające się do rozwoju tego zjawiska. W drugiej części omówiono Wskazania pod kątem formacji do właściwego doświadczenia grzechu, miłosierdzia Bożego, spowiedzi i nawrócenia. Ostatnia część artykułu podejmuje zagadnienie mistagogii sakramentu spowiedzi w materiałach formacyjnych Nowe Życie, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem recepcji zaleceń dokumentu z 2017 r.Pozycja Presbyters and Lay Faithful in the Process of Parish Building in the Face of Todayʼs ChallengesCzupryński, Wojsław (Wydawnictwo Diecezjalne Adalbertinum, 2024)The appeal to carry out the work of the New Evangelization leads to changes in the general concept of pastoral work. It is essential to turn ‘inherited’ Christianity into ‘proposed’ Christianity and pastoral work that is concentrated on administering sacraments into the one that awakens and develops faith. In order to show faith as a personal relation with God more successfully the chaplaincy should become more missionary and evangelical in its character. The objective of the parish is to make a permanent effort in becoming a real sign that is the sacrament of the Kingdom of God. Among other things, it should be manifested in the promotion of the new form of ecclesial community that is the community of communities, the communion of services and charismata. The modern ecclesial movements are one of the most effective tools for evangelization available to the Church in the modern world. However, it seems that modern movements and associations that follow the theological renewal after Second Vatican Council are still underestimated and unemployed. Another important conclusion is the necessity to highlight the important role of the lay in the apostolic mission of the Church. The involvement of the lay in a Church life should take place through their active participation in liturgy. What is more, they ought to participate in services and assignments to realize the communional parish vision. Creating small basic communities that reveal church communion and become evangelization centres may result in parish activation and renewal, and at the same time practicing cooperation between the shepherds and the lay. A parish community understood as cooperation between the clergy and the laity becomes the real sign of the Church.Pozycja Wyświęceni i poślubieni – obok czy razem?Chmielewski, Dariusz (Wydawnictwo Diecezjalne Adalbertinum, 2024)Artykuł jest poświęcony relacjom zachodzącym między wyświęconymi i sakramentalnymi małżonkami (świeckimi). Autor opisuje w nim pojęcie komplementarności, które wzbogaca terminem ‘dopełniania się sakramentów święceń i małżeństwaʼ (Henri Caffarel). Dopełnianie się obejmuje nie tylko kwestie współpracy, współdziałania, współodpowiedzialności, lecz również wypełnienie ich misji w Kościele i świecie, która może być zrealizowana przy spotkaniu dwóch sakramentów. Miejscem spotkania i rozwoju relacji między nimi są kościelne ruchy, wspólnoty i inicjatywy na rzecz małżeństwa i rodziny.
